Don’t Get Me Started:
Infodump Open Mic Night
Finally- an chance to celebrate Neurodivergent culture!
The idea is simple: a neurodivergent affirming gathering where we celebrate an (often) preferred communication style of many Autistic or ADHD folks- infodumping!
The event is 1.5 hours long. In the first hour, five people get seven minutes each to infodump about their special interests and/or hyper-fixations. People can come to share or simply enjoy listening to others. Past topics have included organ and tissue donation, Postcrossing, literal rocket science and so much more. There’s usually some time for Q&A, and the last 30 minutes are an optional time to socialize and share more about your favorite topics.
Bring your favorite stim toys, noise canceling headphones or safe food. Please consider not wearing perfume or cologne to accommodate those who may be sensitive to smells.
I’ll continue hosting these events the third Thursday of every month. The next event will always be posted on my website, so check back! Or, join the email list to be notified of new events.
June 26th from 6:00-7:30 pm
Seattle Public Library, Delridge Branch
5423 Delridge Way SW
No advanced sign up required.
I’m excited to see you there!
I started hosting Don’t Get Me Started in 2023 after noticing the lack of community-building events designed with Autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent individuals in mind. I wanted a place where Autistic and ADHD humans could find each other and develop friendships around shared interests. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at info@kristinboscaljon.com.
